When she chooses mercy over safety and frees a guarded fae warrior from certain death, she is thrust onto a path she never chose.
Bound together by a life debt and a desperate lie, Lyra and the freed fae form a reluctant alliance and make their way through the uneasy borderlands where old legends and long-buried truths begin to surface as they seek to uncover whether a shared destiny can restore what was stolen before the wild magic disappears forever.

In 2027, the series expands as the veil between worlds is punctured by a magical portal and Rath, a half-fae noble of the royal court, finds himself suddenly removed from the palaces of the fae kingdom and dropped into the heart of a modern world defined by asphalt, gymnasiums, and an almost complete lack of magic. There, he encounters Jane, a human woman wrestling with her own profound losses as he seeks to find his way home in a world that he doesn’t understand.
